Arrival/Departure
Check-In is after 4 PM.
Check-Out is 10 AM on departure day. Please refer to the information in our online guest book for departure procedures.
Car Passes
Guests are required to have a valid pass for each vehicle.
If you are staying in Shelter Cove, Palmetto Dunes, Sea Pines, or Shipyard the cost of the community's gate/car passes have been included in your rental rate. If you are staying in a One (1) bedroom villa, or are staying in Harbourside I/II in Shelter Cove, we have included One (1) parking pass with your reservation. All other reservations will have two (2) car passes included with their reservation. Additional car passes are available for purchase, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE (843.785.3447) AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE OF YOUR ARRIVAL IF NEEDED. The cost of car passes is set by each community, and is subject to change - Trident has no control over this cost. Keep in mind that the maximum number of car passes we are able to provide for your reservation is associated with the number of bedrooms of your reservation. For example, if you have rented a Four (4) bedroom house, we cannot provide more than Four (4) car passes. This is a community rule, not a Trident rule.
* Please note that Harbourside I,II and III ( Shelter Cove) will receive one pass per property. One car is allowed on site, additional vehicles may park across Harbourside Lane.
Shelter Cove Guests
- You will receive a text one day prior to arrival with gate and door entry codes.
- Go directly to your villa after 4 PM
- Car pass(es) and other information will be awaiting you in your villa.
- You will receive a text one day prior to your arrival with the Harbourside III gate code.
- Go to the Harbourside III office at 9 Harbourside Lane for your reservation packet.
- You will receive a text one day prior to arrival with directions to our office and pass retrieval code.
- Palmetto Dunes and Sea PinesCommunity policy dictates that guests are not allowed to pick up vehicle passes at their office. Therefore, you will need to stop by our office (1B Shelter Cove Lane) to retrieve your pass(es) before entering the resort. Other rental information will be awaiting you in your villa.
Shipyard guests, please proceed to the gate off Hwy 278 to retrieve your pass from the gate. - If you have multiple people arriving at different times, you will need to go outside the gates and give them their passes directly. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
CANCELLATION POLICY
• Outside of 30 days - Reservations (with a length of stay 25 nights or less) canceled before 30-days of arrival will be refunded all payments minus a reservation fee plus tax. The reservation fee and associated taxes are nonrefundable. The reservation fee and taxes will be charged to your credit card on file for the reservation.
• Inside of 30 days- If Guest cancels within 30-days of arrival, all payments will be forfeited and are nonrefundable. No refunds for early departures or no-shows. If you have purchased travel insurance, any or all trip reimbursement will be subject to the policy terms and conditions. The travel insurance agreement is between Guest and the Policy Provider. Trident Rentals is not the policy provider.
• Long-Term Rentals - Reservations with a stay of 25 nights or longer constitute a long-term rental. Reservations canceled before 120-days of arrival will be refunded all payments minus a reservation fee plus tax. The reservation fee and associated taxes are nonrefundable. The reservation fee and taxes will be charged to your credit card on file for the reservation. If Guest cancels within 120-days of arrival, all payments will be forfeited and are nonrefundable. No refunds for early departures or no-shows. If you have purchased travel insurance, any or all trip reimbursement will be subject to the policy terms and conditions.
• Trip Insurance – We recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect the payments you’ve made under this Agreement in the event you may need to cancel. If Guest has purchased travel insurance, any or all trip reimbursement will be subject to the policy terms and conditions. The travel insurance agreement is between Guest and the Policy Provider. Trident Rentals is not the policy provider. Travel insurance is not a requirement of any reservation. The travel insurance plan provides coverage that only applies during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this travel insurance policy with your existing life, health, home, and automobile insurance policies. Trident employees are not qualified to answer any technical questions about the benefits, exclusions, or conditions of the insurance offered and cannot evaluate the adequacy of coverage. You must be 25 years old to reserve one of our villas.
Pet Policy
Pets are NOT permitted in any of the rental properties with the exception of Pet Friendly designated villas. We allow one dog (50lb limit). Cats are not permitted at anytime. Our staff can recommend local kennels for your pets.

Bed and bath linens include 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth per person
Bath starter amenities per bathroom – 2 rolls of toilet tissue, 1 bath bar, 1 facial bar, 1 shampoo, 1 body lotion and 1 box of facial tissue
Start-up supplies of dishwasher and laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and shampoo.
Iron and ironing board
Fully equipped kitchen plus kitchen/laundry starter amenities – liquid dishwashing soap, dishwashing detergent, 1 single use laundry detergent, and 1 roll of paper towels

Internet
Wifi is offered to guests of all of our properties. Please refer to our digital Guest Information (referenced in your welcome letter) for network login instructions and passwords.
Motor Homes
Motor homes, campers, motorcycles, and trailers are not permitted in Shelter Cove or Palmetto Dunes.
Lost and Found
Trident Rentals is not responsible for any items left in a vacation property but will make every attempt to try and recover them. If located, we will ship the items for a minimum fee of $25.00.
Beach Access
Please follow the instructions in the guest book for beach access in Palmetto Dunes, Shipyard and Sea Pines. Each community has access but guests must comply with parking and shuttle requirements (including pick up and drop off, items allowed on shuttle etc). Beach parking is limited so we encourage all guests to use the shuttles and try to go during non peak times.
